Context
The Solarcity Masterplan aims to elevate the share of solar power in Berlin’s energy production to 25% by 2050 – a target that needed the city to speed up, by closing knowledge gaps about the economic benefits and feasibility of solar energy and foster collaboration between political bodies, businesses, and the community to accelerate Berlin's solar power adoption.
Approach
After identifying the target audience’s knowledge gaps and motivations, we created the ‘Solar Pays Off’ 360 campaign showcasing actual solar installations in Berlin that offered inspiration and information on the practicality and benefits of adopting solar energy.
Outcome
The multifaceted approach resulted in a significant uptick in both website traffic and applications for balcony power installations, demonstrating the campaign’s effectiveness in enhancing public engagement with solar energy initiatives.

Creating a digital 
resource pool

In conjunction with the campaign, the SolarZentrum Berlin and the new portal www.solarcity.berlin offer bundled information such as a solar calculator, a list of solar providers, a solar roof exchange and an appointment tool for free advice from experts at the SolarZentrum.
